British director Armando Iannucci has defended his comedy film The Death Of Stalin, saying that it was both “funny” and “true”. He made the comment days before Russia’s Culture Ministry reportedly revoked the license for showing the movie in Russian cinemas. Speaking to Current Time TV at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, Iannucci said the film was thoroughly researched. (VOA, Current Time TV)
